Last night I attended an electrifying preview party celebrating TopShop’s new Spring 2012 runway and premium collection with my sister Claire. The event was at an impressive soho loft that was dripping with fashion, from the chic attendees in their pre-fashionweek best to the manequins adorned with trendy new pieces.
Personal shoppers were there to help guide, style and take orders without the stress of long checkout lines and touristy crowds that usually encompass their Broadway store. I thought the shopping experience was a nice touch for anyone looking to amp up their wardrobe, especially before Fashion Week. Shopping is always more enjoyable while sipping cocktails, particularly for the gentlemen who avoid shopping in such chaotic stores like the bubonic plague. The collection was an eclectic mix of sheer fabrics and geometric patterns. The skirts and pants had playful hemlines that were a modern twist on classic lengths.
Our host Tina Antoniades offered an evening full of colorful British themed accents with cocktails by Bulldog Gin and tasty nibbles of typical English fare. My favorite was a savory mushroom crostini, yum!
All in all a great party and you can never leave upset when you get a gift bag on the way out, thanks TopShop!
